I have been waiting for the release info of the revamped White Album PS3 game since a few months ago… for some of the regular visitors here, it’s the same old routine of me embarking on a fact finding mission of learning about the story of the characters being release in Dollfie Dream form.

I read some initial review of White Album, but I wasn’t too impressed with the basis of the story at the time, but a few online friends have managed to convince me to give the White Album anime that was being aired last year a try.  They thought I would take a liking into Ogata Rina 緒方理奈 because her character is quite unique and devoid of any “moe” character trait that seems to dominate the anime industry in recent years.

A few days ago, we got a chance to catch a glimpse at the face mold of the actual Rina and Yuki, and as a world renowned Rina expert, I have to say they got the likeness of Rina pretty much dead on!

The Super Early Pre-Order period for the White Album Dollfie Dream has finally begun today!  And I have obviously completed the preliminary adoption paperwork to bring my 11th daughter Rina, and 12th daughter Yuki home.  I have done something unique this time though.  This is the first time I am committing to bring new daughters home before seeing their faces.  Why would I do that?  Am I crazy or something?  Well no, it’s all very well calculated, for one, I have already determined to take one of the most elegant bishoujo in recent years -- Ogata Rina home, that’s a given, she needed a proper representation in my harem lineup.  And Yuki, pretty much serve the function to that of Nanoha for Fate; I have to pick her up to keep Rina company~

The other purpose, is of course to ensure that Rina would have a color matched partner to perform their Cho-Henshin!

The term Symmetrical Docking is, in contrast to popular believe, a borrowed term from the hot blood super robot show, The King of Braves -- GaoGaiGar.  Symmetrical Docking can only be performed when the “SympaRate”, a measure of the synchronization and unity of the blue robot -  HyoRyu and the red robot -- EnRyu reaches 100%, the result of their Symmetrical Docked form, also known as Cho Ryu Jin, serves a much greater purpose than what could ever achieve individually.  The same criteria applies to my Rina and Yuki, and their combined form would certainly come in handy in the Dollfie Dream Theater as well.

Now, keep in mind that these pre-order bonus are only available for those of us who are willing to put our order in before seeing the final product, as a reward.  Volks has no plan to reveal the final product until the 2nd pre-order period, which doesn’t come with the bonus.  But in any event, the actual transaction do not take place until mid-March, which means there is still a chance to cancel the order if the final product do not meet your expectation.

There are also some very lovely casual outfits for Rina and Yuki, some preview pictures are available at the Sumika Times Blog.  The Yuki dress and boots is my personal favorite among the 3 sets.  I am not sure why they are giving Rina those pink boots because she has never wore pink boots within the anime!

The date I have been waiting for the past month or so has finally been announced.  The White Album Dollfie Dream Super Early Pre-Order period will begin from January 20th to the end of the month!  Those who place their order during the Super Early Pre-Order period will get an extra bonus swimsuit that has been announced before.

A few days ago I sent my White Album Dollfie Dream Support Message to Volks USA to show my appreciation and support for their White Album Project.  The staffs at Volks USA really appreciated my message and told me they would forward my message to their team in Japan.  Today, they posted the pictures of my girls in their Sumika Times Blog page!

For those of you who are familiar with my habit, you would probably know that I have fairly strict requirements for knowing the personality and character of a Dollfie Dream before I decide to adopt them, for example, when Volks announced ToHeart 2 Kusugawa Sasara Dollfie Dream, I cast almost everything aside and focused on learning about Sasara.  The situation is fairly similar for the White Album Dollfie Dream, I wasn’t too impressed with the story outline at first and thought it is one of those typical harem anime… but a few punchi blurbers in figure.fm have convinced me to at least give the White Album anime a try because they felt I would like Ogata Rina.  It didn’t take very long for me to completely fall for Rina’s character, she is intriguing, elegant, beautiful, have more balls than all the men combined in the show!  She is most definitely one of the most awesome bishoujo characters I have seen in recent memory.  It is very refreshing to see a character like Rina to rise from the recently saturated market of “moe” characters.  We need more characters like Rina in anime!

Anyway, after about half way into the White Album anime, I have already decided to take Rina home at the first available opportunity.  You might have noticed the White Album Dollfie Dream Support banner in my side bar already   I have been checking the White Album Dollfie Dream page daily as well as the Dollfie Dream blog for any available information, I tracked back to the Yoko/Nia release schedule step by step and determined that we will see something by the end of the year at least and sure enough, Volks has announced more details about 10 days ago in the White Album Dollfie Dream Update that they will be releasing the schedule by the end of the year.

For the past week or so, I have been spending the majority of my time catching up on the White Album anime.  For those of you who are familiar with my habit, you are probably aware of what I am doing here.  My quest to understand the storyline for 森川 由綺 Morikawa Yuki and 緒方 理奈 Ogata Rina after their Dollfie Dream announcement.  Up to about episode 3-4, I am already completely captivated by the performance of Ogata Rina, whom I consider as one of the most awesome and attractive characters in my recent memory!  Needless to say, my 11th Dollfie Dream Daughter has already been decided, and it’s none other than Dollfie Dream Rina!  I am putting my name in the super early pre-order as soon as it’s up, despite the fact that I won’t see how she turns out!  You may also find the Dollfie Dream Rina banner in the side bar of my blog since a few days ago

Why am I making such an effort for this new girl Ogata Rina?  It’s simple, she is just that awesome!  “Most” anime in the past few seasons put too much emphasis on fan service and over emphasize on the “moe” factor and it’s getting very annoying for me to have to watch anime that lack a proper story, characters lack a proper personality and “progression”.  It’s very refreshing to see a buckle in this “moe” trend and see a character that literally captivated my heart from the beginning and continued to impress me every time she graced the screen (She is voiced by Nana Mizuki, I am sure that helped kicked it up a few notches there).  I think I might devote a topic to talk about her later.  In my personal opinion, Ogata Rina is beautiful, elegant, intelligent, talented and have more balls than all the men combined in the show!
