Fortune Arterial Game Progress
by Wolfheinrich on Feb.04, 2010, under Eroge PC Game, Otaku Home screen
For the past couple of days, I have been focusing entirely on Fortune Arterial game progress. I really should have played this game several months ago but I blame it on a short summary that I read and gave me a totally wrong impression on Erika… but since the 64 bit compatibility problem surfaced last month, I quickly picked up my pace and decided to dive right into the game.
My main focus on playing Fortune Arterial is of course to learn about the stories of the two heroines I am interested in, namely Sendo Erika and Kuza Kiriha.
魔動装兵クラインハーゼ Kleinhasa Regional Protection and Windows 7 Virtual PC
by Wolfheinrich on Jan.12, 2010, under Eroge PC Game, Otaku Home screen
So today, I would like to set a little time aside to talk about regional protection of eroge game in general. Before Windows XP came along, the only way to “properly” run Japanese eroge games was to purchase a separate copy of Windows 95 or Windows 98 and install them into a separate partition in the main hard disk using an off the shelf MBR overlay software such as System Commander… that was how I used to run Windows based eroge game back in the early 90s. Windows XP changed all that, with the ability to install East Asian language pack and applocale basically took care of all the language compatibility issue for the past decade or so… However, the situation is starting to change again … quite possibly after a public outrage of having an eroge game called “Rapelay” released by Illusion being offered for sale in Amazon UK in early 2009, a string of Eroge game publishing companies have begun tightening the sale of their software outside of Japan, some companies have decided to ban all ip addresses except for those in Japan, some companies have implemented tough regional protection scheme, company such as Triangle.
I have have always been a fan of Triangle Soft’s game, their long line of Mahou Senshin games
Illusion At Home Mate final thought
by Wolfheinrich on Jul.11, 2009, under Eroge PC Game, Otaku Home screen
It’s been a month since I began playing Illusion’s latest game @HomeMate, I have had little expectation to start with but the game did not disappoint me, at least not as bad as some of the more recent Illusion titles. I think I have managed to about 2/3 of the way before I lost interest of stroking the mouse all day long because that’s what it will eventually turned into when you play one of these sex simulator games >.>; Only this time, I didn’t quite give up on the game totally, I soldiered on and play to Noa’s ending at the very minimum. Since Illusion has already announced their next game 勇者からは逃げられない!, that just served as a final nudge in the back to finish up @HomeMate.
On day 21, only the girl with the highest affection will show up on the map where you will get the ending scene.
Feena’s normal end,Yoake Mae yori Ruriiro na, 夜明け前より瑠璃色な
by Wolfheinrich on May.04, 2009, under Eroge PC Game, Otaku Home screen
It’s been almost two weeks since I started this Yoake Mae yori Ruriiro na Visual Novel marathon run project which includes the original Yoake Mae yori Ruriiro na Visual Novel (2005) August soft, Yoake Mae yori Ruriiro na -Brighter than dawning blue- (2009) Aria soft and Yoake Mae yori Ruriiro na -Moonlight Cradle- (2009) August soft, it’s a massive undertaking that I have never attempted before. But after over a week worth of effort, I am finally getting close to the midway point. This project really started when I redecorated my room with three Feena fam Earthlight Dakimakuras and one bath towel, then all of a sudden I wondered about how much do I really know about her. Sure I have watched Brighter than dawning blue ~Cresent Love~ but that may not be adequate given the amount collector’s items I have on her and the fact that the animation may not represent the game character adequately. On top of that, I have always been curious about the 2nd tier heroine Natsuki Takamizawa and the new cast from PS2 port Estel Freesia. All that curiosity became a massive determination to drive me to work on all three Visual Novels in a row.
The effort really paid off, I really enjoyed the games so far, the games frequently put you in the main character’s shoes and have confronted you with questions that don’t have a clear cut answer. After I finished Feena’s normal end and Natsuki’s end, I started talking about Natsuki’s story in an earlier post while I really should have started from the beginning and give the proper background information regarding the the whole story. Without further ado, let me set the record straight once and for all.
Update: I have updated this page to include some of my other posts related to the game
Edit: Re-publish and sticky post to include Bonus Wallpaper from Moonlight Cradle Premium box
Feena fam Earthlight’s normal ending
Warning, this post is massive and full of spoilers, intended for those who want to learn the story but have no way of playing the game.
Brighter than dawning blue – Brighter than dawning blue arc completed
by Wolfheinrich on Apr.18, 2009, under Eroge PC Game, Otaku Home screen
Finally, I finished the true episode, Brighter than dawning blue arc today. I would like to give it some thought before I finish Feena’s story since the true episode is completely different from the anime counterpart. The similarity between the game and the anime fell apart after Karen took off for the moon. The end result may be the same, but the process to get there is completely different!
Update: I have updated this post to include some of my other posts related to the game
Feena fam Earthlight’s normal ending
For now, I am moving on to the PS2 port version because I have to replay Feena’s arc again to better refresh my memory and to get to Estel Freesia. Stay tune for an update on Feena’s story and Estel Freesia later on
Natsuki Takamizawa’s end, Yoake Mae Yori Ruriiro na, 夜明け前より瑠璃色な
by Wolfheinrich on Apr.17, 2009, under Eroge PC Game, Otaku Home screen
Three nights worth of hard work I have managed to get to the final arc of Brighter than dawning blue… Before I even realize it, I am starting to develop a habit to talk about Bishoujo game character profile, I may eventually devote a specific section just for that. Some people might wonder why I care so much about the story, and to that I can only say the eroge scenes are not as exciting as if one do not understand the story that is leading to the scene and what happen afterward.
The final arc, Brighter than dawning blue 夜明け前より瑠璃色なhas finally shown up on the game menu. With this, I can finally finish this game and move on to the PS2 port version and work on Estel Freesia. I really like how the stories are setup in such a way that you don’t have to start over from the beginning. However, in order to get to this point in 3 nights time, I have to summon the all mighty “crtl” key a lot, I skipped over Mia, Mai and Sayaka while finishing Natsuki and Wreathlit’s stories. I have always wanted to dive deeper into their stores since I watched Cresent Love. Since Feena’s story has already been well covered in Cresent Love, I am going start talking about Natsuki first. Eventually, I do plan to go back to cover Feena’s story after I finish the final arc to settle any differences between Cresent Love and the game, eventually the after story in Moonlight cradle. While I could hardly wait to finish the rest of Feena’s story, but I feel compelled to cover Natsuki’s story first because her story is relatively unknown.
Basic background information can be found in the Yoake mae yori ruriiro na wiki page, although some information may be inaccurate
Update: I have updated this page to include some of my new posts on the game, it’s highly recommended that you first visit the following links first.

Dollfie Dream Dynamite Escalayer
by Wolfheinrich on Apr.17, 2009, under Dollfie Dream, Otaku Home screen, Other Figures
I am not sure for what purpose I am writing this post, but I just feel like getting it off my chest. For a better part of 7 years now, I have been collecting merchandises ranging from painted resins, PVC figures, posters, stick pillow from the eroge game Beat Angel Escalayer from Alicesoft.
夜明け前より瑠璃色な Feena arc completed
by Wolfheinrich on Apr.13, 2009, under Eroge PC Game, Otaku Home screen
Woah, took me the whole day to finish the remaining of Feena’s arc just to find out that wasn’t the end of the Feena’s story -_-; I have to finish Mia, Mai, Natsuki and Sayaka in order to unlock Wearthlit then the final arc Brighter than dawning blue would be unlocked :s Out of the remaining group, I am only interested in Natsuki’s story, what to do ;s
Anyway, my impression for the game after this first play through has been very good, I am quite happy with the quality of August soft game, I have no choice but to play through Fortune Arterial now (this is going to keep me busy for weeks now). It’s a shame that I didn’t notice this series sooner (partly because I was too involved in FFXI during that period of time when the game was released and I was pretty much out of the whole eroge gaming scene).
Anyway, what a huge shock for me. Feena is actually quite a naughty girl! Get this, the first eroge scene was initiated by Feena, not you! I know this is an eroge game, but this is quite unexpected given I watch the anime first.
Choko Sennin Haruka – Subaru Gathering kit and background story
by Wolfheinrich on Mar.25, 2009, under Eroge PC Game, Otaku Home screen, Photo Shoot & Review
Next up for the photo session treatment is my newly acquired gathering kit from E2046.com, Subaru from the eroge game Choko Sennin Haruka.
Choko Sennin Haruka is a heroine, insult, ninja, training + ADV eroge game release by Alicesoft back in Feburary 2008. Previously released figure related to this series includes Takamori Haruka from Alter and the yet to be released Shihoudo Narika also from Alter. Subaru is considered as the third and non-cannon heroine as she only joins you mid-way through the game and did not have her own cho-henshin costume. Despite the fact that Alicesoft did not consider her as main heroine, she is actually rather popular among the fans; probably due to her mature body build and her beautiful long black hair + ponytail. In this write up, I am going to attempt to give a summary of the game story as I would focus Subaru’s story as she joins the team as I don’t think I can talk about Subaru without talking about Haruka and Narika. I would finish Narika and Haruka’s stories in future write ups, otherwise, it would be too long.

Spoiler warning/Wall of text warning
I would say the paint job and shadow are done very well, the skin tone may be a little pale in the face for my taste. With an interchangeable arm, magnetically attached clothing and the gold trim around her waist belt, this gathering kit is full of gadgets. The only catch about this kit is the artificial right arm seems to have a very tight of a fit against her body to be assembled right out of the box (and I ended up shaving some resin off her arm to force it in). As a result, it’s nearly impossible to cast off her lower half body.
This is a first mega post for me! I ended up putting in a lot of details on the background story and well I did end up playing the game over just to be sure I don’t make any false assumption. As a result, I ended up finding stuff that I missed during my first play through. In the end, I feel it’s still a benefit for me. As usual, I would like to seek some feedback on a feature like this, photo session + background story. Is it too much details or just about right? Next write up would most likely be Haruka and I am saving Narika for last since her new figure would come out in July.
Chu x Chu Idol – Hiyori arc completed
by Wolfheinrich on Mar.15, 2009, under Eroge PC Game, Otaku Home screen
So I finally completed the Hiyori arc last night, it was good… better than I thought it would be (I played too many dark eroge, a light hearted love story is a good change of pace). Now Chu x Chu is not a new game anymore, it was released back in 2007. It didn’t catch my attention then, the only reason why I decided to play the game was because of the numerous reviews I came across on Hiyori Pixie figure by GSC. The pose is graceful, the facial expression is charming and the costume or lack thereof, plus the ability to cast off. I usually prefer figurine with long hair but she will do fine without it and make it up via other departments.
So my quest began to find out more details on Hiyori Pixie (because of my stubboness, I insist on finding out as much information as possible on every figurine I have). I am tempted to talk about the whole game since I have pretty much understood 90% of the game but the fact that I only completed the Hiyori arc and have no intention to finish the whole game, may be I should just stick to the Hiyori’s arc.
