The Arrival of Sony HD Handycam

Shortly after I shot the video tour of my room submission for Danny’s upcoming TV show Culture Japan. I came to realize the lack of auto-focus feature on the Nikon D5000 is seriously annoying when I try to shoot anything with variable focal lengths (like a video tour of my room), looking at the wallscrolls and dakimakura on one end of the room… and trying to zoom in my figure collection.  After some serious consideration, I have finally decided to get myself a Sony Handycam, something I have been considering for some time (little did I know I ended up ordering on the 25th Anniversary of Sony Handycam!).  I logged on to my SonyRewards website and clicked Redeem ….. 50k Sony Reward Points for the Sony HDR-CX150 16GB High Definition Handycam Camcorder, one of the entry level HD Camcorders.  The folks at Sony Rewards did an amazing job in getting this new toy out to me in 2 days!  And here I have my daughters introducing my new video gear!

Dollfie Dream Kiriha X Sasara Yuri Set [NSFW]

Some parts of this photo set has already been posted in figure.fm through Lightning Sabre’s Weekly Lily 65 and based on the feedback on the poll there are adequate number of people who would like to see the rest of this set of photo, so here they are.  It’s another experimental project that I try to explore a different aspect in Dollfie Dream Photography, a more sensual approach than just having the Dollfie Dream stare at the camera or off camera.  It’s actually a much more challenging project than I had anticipated in the beginning.  For still live photography, all I had to do is to tune the photo to give the feeling I want but when it comes down to creating the proper atmosphere for a proper yuri scene, it’s much more difficult since the “subject” is no longer looking at the camera.  It can become very difficult to catch the right angle to get the proper frame depending on how the scene was setup.  I spent the first day free-handing and ended up not getting any shot done right.  But from 2nd day and onward, I rotated my scene and was finally able to use the tripod again to finish this set of photos.  This is one for the Dollfie Dream yuri (ガールズラブ) fan!

Dollfie Dream Kiriha Solo Live [NSFW]

I guess by now I don’t have to explain how big of a fanboy I am about Kiriha now do I? It started off as a casual conversation in the blurbs as I was trying to do a few more solo shots for Kiriha and the He is my master maid outfit. Then out of the blue, Chibichibusa asked me if I was doing a strip tease for Kiriha, then I thought, why not? I like to explore different aspects of Dollfie Dream Photography and here is my latest venture. Be warned, this post contains Dollfie Dream nudity! I consider these some of my best work to date~

Happy Halloween Girl (NSFW)

Happy Halloween everyone~ While I may not be much of a Halloween person, but for the sake of the festivity spirit, I decided to take one of my Halloween costume figure for a little photo shoot, and a slight departure from my usual habit, there will be a NSFW image which will be hidden under a spoiler tag.  Without further ado, let’s get to it!

This is a painted resin figure that I acquired a few years ago around Halloween time, while I usually don’t buy figure without proper background story, I made up an excuse that she is a Halloween figure and therefore doesn’t require a background story!

The neat thing about this figure was her magnetic cast off features and the blinking pumpkin, it’s difficult to see the pumpkin lid up with the setting right now but we will get to it in a bit~

Ninth Dollfie Dream Daughter-Dollfie Dream Airi’s Arrival~

I have been waiting for this day to come for the past 2 weeks or so, my 9th daughter, Dollfie Dream Airi has arrived at my residence today!  The fact that she arrived today, just a day after I watched Queen’s Blade 2nd Season Episode 5, where she played a major role in the story is just extra special to me.  I have always wanted to believe, despite the lack of screen time for Airi in Queen’s Blade Season 1 and Season 2 thus far, that she is more than just a life sucking assassin/ghostly maid, loyal servant to the Swamp Witch (I have yet to see this so call Swamp Witch to do anything evil by the way).  I was jumping overjoy that Airi is indeed a character worthy to become my daughter, for in depth review of the Queen’s Blade Season 2 Episode 5, please visit blogsphere comrade Smithy’s Blue Blue Wave.  Enough talk, let’s take a look at the loots~

Beat Blade Haruka OVA 双龍輪

Not really ground breaking news, but I noticed just the other day that Beat Blade Haruka is going for an OVA release; it’s been well over a year since the game was released back in Feburary 2008, not sure why it took so long for Alicesoft to push through the release.   Platinium Milky would be doing the animation portion, and if my memory is correct, this will be the first Alicesoft title release through them.  Anyway, based on the information I was able to gather from Getchu, the first DVD is scheduled to hit the street on August 25.

It seems the story has been somewhat altered in order to introduce Narika onto the scene.  In game, Haruka broke down because of battle fatique, and therefore prompted Narika to step up to the plate to become a Sennin.  However, in the OVA, we will see Haruka being captured by one of the monsters instead :P

That reminded me that I never finished Narika’s arc lol, may be I should go do that before the OVA hit the street.  For some reason, Beat Blade Haruka just couldn’t manage to recreate the same gaming experience as Beat Angel Escalayer (for me at least) even though they are based off the same engine.  Anyway, I would be looking forward to seeing this new OVA release coming August :3

Chu x Chu Idol – Hiyori arc completed

So I finally completed the Hiyori arc last night, it was good… better than I thought it would be (I played too many dark eroge, a light hearted love story is a good change of pace).  Now Chu x Chu is not a new game anymore, it was released back in 2007.  It didn’t catch my attention then, the only reason why I decided to play the game was because of the numerous reviews I came across on Hiyori Pixie figure by GSC.  The pose is graceful, the facial expression is charming and the costume or lack thereof, plus the ability to cast off.  I usually prefer figurine with long hair but she will do fine without it and make it up via other departments.

So my quest began to find out more details on Hiyori Pixie (because of my stubboness, I insist on finding out as much information as possible on every figurine I have).  I am tempted to talk about the whole game since I have pretty much understood 90% of the game but the fact that I only completed the Hiyori arc and have no intention to finish the whole game, may be I should just stick to the Hiyori’s arc.
