As we approach the 2nd pre-order period for the White Album X Dollfie Dream collaboration project, Volks has released the more refined images of Dollfie Dream Rina and Yuki for us!  I am very pleased to see these refined images of Rina and Yuki as they become much closer to what I would expect them to look like in Dollfie Dream form.

As some of you might recalled, I briefly mentioned in my last post that I expected some tweaks on the new girls and this is exactly the type of tweak I have been looking for!  Yuki looks a bit younger and more innocent and Rina looking sexy and foxy like she is! (continue reading…)

A few days ago, we got a chance to catch a glimpse at the face mold of the actual Rina and Yuki, and as a world renowned Rina expert, I have to say they got the likeness of Rina pretty much dead on!

For the past week or so, I have been spending the majority of my time catching up on the White Album anime.  For those of you who are familiar with my habit, you are probably aware of what I am doing here.  My quest to understand the storyline for 森川 由綺 Morikawa Yuki and 緒方 理奈 Ogata Rina after their Dollfie Dream announcement.  Up to about episode 3-4, I am already completely captivated by the performance of Ogata Rina, whom I consider as one of the most awesome and attractive characters in my recent memory!  Needless to say, my 11th Dollfie Dream Daughter has already been decided, and it’s none other than Dollfie Dream Rina!  I am putting my name in the super early pre-order as soon as it’s up, despite the fact that I won’t see how she turns out!  You may also find the Dollfie Dream Rina banner in the side bar of my blog since a few days ago

Why am I making such an effort for this new girl Ogata Rina?  It’s simple, she is just that awesome!  “Most” anime in the past few seasons put too much emphasis on fan service and over emphasize on the “moe” factor and it’s getting very annoying for me to have to watch anime that lack a proper story, characters lack a proper personality and “progression”.  It’s very refreshing to see a buckle in this “moe” trend and see a character that literally captivated my heart from the beginning and continued to impress me every time she graced the screen (She is voiced by Nana Mizuki, I am sure that helped kicked it up a few notches there).  I think I might devote a topic to talk about her later.  In my personal opinion, Ogata Rina is beautiful, elegant, intelligent, talented and have more balls than all the men combined in the show! I have let myself gone a tad lazy for the past couple of days, I have been wanting to write an article about PVC figure aging based on suggestions from blogging comrade blowfish, but alas, I am still procrastinating over it because I have been mostly occupied by the news of Dolpa 22 and the new White Album Dollfie Dream releases~

A bunch of us in the flickr group have started to speculate over what Dollfie Dream might be coming out in the winter doll party, the first clue we had came about a little over a week ago when we found out about the White Album webpage that didn’t have any images on it at the time, however, as more information became available, the White Album Dollfie Dream were not due to come out in this upcoming Dolpa but instead a web order exclusive project similar to that of the Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann DD Project.

Initially, I was very hesitant about the story of White Album after reading some online review about it, but my mind began to sway when I was presented with the project image…. these are some really good Dollfie Dream candidates… and at the very minimum, these idol style clothing would fit my Dollfie Dream daughters very well!  After a few more conversation with a few figure.fm members, I decided I have to at learn about Rina and Yuki despite the fact that I may not be very interested in the plot of the story (based on my understanding thus far, the main protagonist is a real prick…. all of the guys were real prick…, why… I want to read about some decent/hotblood guy doing his best, not a real prick getting involved in multiple women!).  Anyway, I have already decided to at least see what kind of girls 森川 由綺 Morikawa Yuki and 緒方 理奈 Ogata Rina are, then so be it.
