[Eroge Game] Pure White Symphony First Impression

A few days ago Volks has finally announced the Dollfie Dream set to debut in Home Town Dolpa Osaka 6, since I am already quite familiar with Mari Illustrious Makinami from the Rebuild of Evangelion 2.0: You can (not) advance after seeing the movie in Japan last year and again in subtitle format; my attention turned to two girls from the eroge game Pure White Symphony ましろ色シンフォニー「瓜生桜乃」Uryuu Sakuno and 「天羽みう」 Amaha Miu. While I am not overly fond of the face molds of these two DD myself, but I guess I will fancy myself with their story since I picked up some encouraging words from some figure.fm comrades that I will not be disappointed with Amaha Miu’s eroge scene ^^;

Pure White Symphony came with some pretty tough regional protection, conventional method such as AppLocale or AGTH couldn’t bypass it and I to use a new tool call ntleac developed by a gentleman in Taiwan I believe.In any event, after I got it to work, I was first greeted by the all too familiar “All characters are over 18 years old”, yeah I got it… and the For Sale Japan Only.

While I am not at all surprised by the For sale japan only verbage …. but I am rather surprised by the use of “English menu”

I just got a kick out of it…. that is all XD

Anyway, let’s get back to the game so you play this normal high school student named Uryuu Shingo, and for whatever reason that is still unknown to me at this point, your high school is to merge with a famous all girl high school coming next April. You are part of the selected group of pilot students to spend time with the all girl high school to test out the merger.

Here is Uryuu Sakuno, who fit into the all too familiar step sister role. Yeah, you can have a brownie point if you can find me a high school love drama without a step-sister mix in…. anyway, Sakuno gave me this impression that she is almost always half asleep or something, including the way she is illustrated in the game and the way she is voiced. I can almost fall asleep just by listening to her dialogue… and yeah, she can get lost while just going for grocery shopping…. Needless to say, she isn’t scoring any points with me XD. However, credit go to Volks for getting the face mold fairly accurately.

I say she is pretty close to the 2D counter part.

And like I mentioned before, I was at least half attracted to Amaha Miu based on this illustration

However, I was fairly disappointed on how the Dollfie Dream came out….

Somehow the face just look too chubby for me…. only if she look more like how she really looks like in game.

May be it’s another case of Volks failing at taking good photos of their DD, but I still have plenty of time before I have to decide if I wanted to adopt Amaha Miu. I haven’t gotten very far in the game yet and have only met Miu a few times so there isn’t enough information to report on her at this point. The only thing I know about Miu is that she is one year older, love animal and nature, also the president of the animal loving Meow Meow Club.

I am about 2 hours into the game and I can’t say I am terribly excited about it at this point, the story is fairly plain and straight forward…. so I am only really motivated by the prospect of the supposedly wonderful eroge scene with Amaha Miu… I will be sure to share some of them when I get to them… hopefully I will get to them before I give up on the game itself XD

So, while I don’t really have any eroge scenes to share at this point, I do have a couple cute pics to share…

Oh and this is 瀨名愛理, whom is supposedly the main heroine. She met you during the prologue phase of the game when Sakuno got lost during grocery shopping. She was rather gentle with you at the beginning but as soon as she found out you are part of the pilot students, all hell broke loose. Needless to say, she is against the whole merger thing. She is also the daughter of the all girl high school principle.

Anime Expo 2010 JAST USA Bishoujo Game Panel [NSFW]

One of the other objectives since I was already going to be in Anime Expo 2010 was to attend the JAST USA Bishoujo Game panel hosted by J-List, one of the very few companies brought Japanese goodies to the USA market back in the 90s. Nowadays, while I am already capable to play most of the Japanese Bishoujo games with the tools I have available to me, but that doesn’t mean I don’t care about the companies that continues to try to localize Bishoujo games for the English speaking world. Since JAST USA announced last year that they are working with Nitro+ to localize Demonbane into English, a game I have yet to play, that really prompted me to make it to their panel to hear what they are working on.

There were more than enough people who wanted to get into their panel, even though the event started fairly late at night. The panel started off with introduction to JAST USA, what they do

Lightning Warrior Raidy II, now I actually have finished the Japanese version of the game some years ago and felt the game was good enough for me to replay in English. Lightning Warrior Raidy II is about 3 times the size of the original Lightning Warrior Raidy, with an actual town to go into and buy weapon upgrade etc, something that wasn’t on the table for the original game.

Moero Downhill Night 2 the second game of the Moero Downhill Night series. For a while, I was too busy to follow up on eroge game and I failed to keep track on the release date for Moero Downhill Night. Now that both games have been released, I have got to play it!

And after hearing about the details on these 2 new hot releases, I took Kiriha to the J-List booth and bought the 2 new games .

And while we are at it, allow me to show you all some of the more seductive photos of Kiriha, and yes, Kiriha is rather proud of her look and not afraid to show her body off :3

Ok ok, back on topic!

And obviously, the most highly anticipated game for me is none other than …

Deus Machina Demonbane, which is slated for Summer release! I am definitely getting this game!

[Eroge Game] Illusion Soft Schoolmate 2 Review

It’s been a while since I last wrote an eroge game post, I guess the time is just about right now since the latest game from Illusion Soft Schoolmate 2 すくぅ～るメイト２ was just released a few days ago! For the past couple of years, I haven’t been exactly happy with most of the Illusion releases, save perhaps @Homemate and Schoolmate Sweet; Real Kanojo was a disappointment as it failed to capture my attention for more than 15 minutes. However, back in April, Illusion soft announced their new latest game Schoolmate 2; the Schoolmate series, one of the few entertaining games coming out of Illusion soft in recent years. I have been playing this game for a few hours now and so far it’s been decent, so let’s take a look at it.

Introduction:

The game started off by showing us a brief prologue between the Player and his classmate Yukariko (the main story heroine) when they were cleaning the 3 Jizou statues on the school ground.

Out of a freak accident, Yukariko broke the head of one of the Jizou statues….

And this accident awakes the three spirits Suho, Asagi and Kohaku. As a revenge, the three Jizou sisters cursed Yukariko and were able to take control of Yukariko’s body and the only way for Yukariko to lift the curse is to have sex with the protagonist….

The second of the 3 Jizou sisters Asagi, she has blue eyes.

The youngest of the 3 Jizou sisters Kohaku. She is an earnest young girl with amber eyes.

Yukariko, without any means to refuse the 3 Jizou sisters, and even though she didn’t believe in the curse, she eventually gave in to their demand. She then asked the protagonist to help her with the missions given by the 3 Jizou sisters.

The game starts off with a basic story mission mode where the three Jizou sisters will ask Yukariko fulfill a certain objective at the beginning of each mission. Yukariko will then send keitai mail to the protagonist to tell him where to meet for the next H-scene…

It’s that simple… yup.

The gameplay is pretty simple too and it’s all controlled by the mouse wheel.

There is a square on the top right corner
For all your H actions, your mouse have to be placed inside of it
If you scroll your mouse up, your H actions will be more intense while scrolling down will decrease it
To progress the next H-scene you have to scroll slowly up until you reach a point where you get a heart on the same square of the top right corner

After getting the heart you will have to wait for her conversation to end and you will be able to proceed to next H-scene
To proceed next H-scene, left click and hold the left click and you will see one of the options not in gray anymore
To select the option you don’t click on it, while having your left click held move up, down, left or right (depending on which side the option is) and release the left click
Repeat until all the hearts have been full and use right click instead to select the orgasm options with the same logic as the left click options

There is also a 3D mode which you can toggle on/off during H-scene. And you going to need one of this red/blue 3D glasses to view them properly.

This ain’t a eroge game review without juicy screen shot right? There are of course many many more juicy screen shots, most of them are a bit too much to be shown here on my top page, so I have dedicated a separate password protect page for them. What’s the password? Simple, the answer is the same one I used back in May and it’s buried in one of my post during the month of May ^^;

After all the missions are complete you will see “Normal End”.

Your Story Mode will change to “Endless mode” and game will unlock “Memory Mode” and “Replay Mode”

Overall, the game mechanic is pretty simple and post little next to no difficulty at all. It will be a real stretch to call this a worthy successor to the original Schoolmate, after all, there is very little game play element in this other than playing with the mousewheel… the only saving grace for Schoolmate 2 is the improve cell shading graphics, the smoother motion, plus the h-scenes are fairly well done and are quite erotic. I would consider recommend playing this game, in contrary to let say Real Kanojo or You cannot escape from the Heroine, which is more or less a waste of time in my opinion.

I guess many of us may have started to lose faith in Illusion soft’s ability to produce entertaining games in recent years but they have announced earlier this month that they have been working on Schoolmate 2, and Schoolmate is the last remaining play worthy title in their line up in my opinion. This might look interesting~

I am on the Illusion soft newsletter and I just got this info today, nothing much is available yet except they introduced all the heroines today.

Features that were introduced in Real Kanojo like 2 mouses operation will be ported into the Schoolmate 2, why do you need 2 mouses? Well you sort of always do uses 2 hands right?

Fortune Arterial To Be Adopted Into Anime

I seldom talks about upcoming Anime in advance, but thanks to figure.fm member Emiri that I found out Fortune Arterial has gotten the green light to be adopted into Anime. As a fan of Fortune Arterial, I hope that it won’t suffer the same fate as Brighter than Dawning Blue ~Crescent Love~ and got totally butchered out of the original story. I suppose with a linear path arrangement, they are going to go for Erika’s arc while trying to get as much coverage on the other heroines as possible, but let’s hope for the best.

I will be keeping my eyes open for any development on the Fortune Arterial Anime.
