Over the past year since I have entered the world of Dollfie Dream, I have mistakenly allowed some of my most desired items slipped past my grasp. I waited for months and months without finding them again, and I was left with pondering why I didn’t try harder when the chance was available. This past two months of 2010 has been especially meaningful to me, since quite a few of the items I missed out on has reappeared in front of me. This time I wasn’t going to let them slip pass me again! A pretty big haul that is, but I am very happy that I have finally gotten them in my hands! So, let’s take a look at them, shall we?

Wolfhinrich’s World First Anniversary
by Wolfheinrich on Feb.05, 2010, under Dollfie Dream, Eroge PC Game, Figure Collection Topic, Otaku Home screen, Photo Shoot & Review, Project
Like a blink of an eye really, one whole year has gone by and I have finally achieved one of the major milestone of any bloggers – hitting the first anniversary! I must thank you for all of your support, visits, clicks, comments and encouragement! Looking back when I first started blogging, my original goal was to introduce myself to the worldwide of Otaku that I – Wolfheinich exists here! I think I have mentioned in the past, I was very much like a closet otaku, I have little real life friends that share my interest, I have no way to share my joy of unpacking my new figures or do I have anyone to converse with how cute this 2D girl is or what not. What I desire most, is to seek out to like minded otaku who can share my interest, making new friends.
Stumbling onto Dannychoo.com was a major turning point for me, I never knew there is an online community like that before! After spending a few days on Danny’s site, I decided I too want to become a blogger so I can really introduce myself to the community. After one whole year, I am confident to say that I have achieved way more than what I had in mind. I have made a bunch of new friends, gotten into Dollfie Dream (which is like the greatest thing since sliced bread), and even traveled to Japan to see Odaiba Gundam, Kamen Rider Decade and Evangelion 2.0 movie with fellow Dannychoo member Fumoffu.
Let’s take a quick look at the transformation that Wolfheinrich’s World has gone thru in the past year! I really had no idea what to blog about at the beginning, so I started off with a my room post soon after I began! (continue reading…)
Fortune Arterial Game Progress
by Wolfheinrich on Feb.04, 2010, under Eroge PC Game, Otaku Home screen
For the past couple of days, I have been focusing entirely on Fortune Arterial game progress. I really should have played this game several months ago but I blame it on a short summary that I read and gave me a totally wrong impression on Erika… but since the 64 bit compatibility problem surfaced last month, I quickly picked up my pace and decided to dive right into the game.
My main focus on playing Fortune Arterial is of course to learn about the stories of the two heroines I am interested in, namely Sendo Erika and Kuza Kiriha.
Madou Souhei Kleinhasa (NSFW) and Fortune Arterial game progress
by Wolfheinrich on Jan.30, 2010, under Eroge PC Game, Otaku Home screen
I talked about writing an update post the other day, finally got around to do it now. To tell the truth, ever since I migrated to Windows 7, I have been on a scramble to get all the eroge games I love running; the fact that I have a huge pile of them sitting didn’t help at all! So on the top of the agenda this month was to tackle some of the games that I absolutely need to finish, such as Madou Souhei Kleinhasa and Fortune Arterial. One of my greatest fear before migrating to Windows 7 64bit edition was compatibility issues with all the legacy eroge games and all the support applications I use to play them. Luckily there were very few problems so far. Most the eroge games I want to keep running have been able to run so far; however, there were a few exceptions, most notably the new regional protection scheme being deployed by one of my favorite eroge game companies Triangle, their fierce regional protection scheme have left me in fear for quite some time.
In my last post on this topic, I talked about how I bypassed this regional protection scheme, by using the free Windows XP mode Japanese language edition, however that method is by no means perfect, most notably the color support is only up to 16bit and sound support also left a lot to be desired (a certain Austrian Otaku has pointed me in the right direction, which I will talk about in a little bit). After more thorough searches, I finally managed to locate a proper regional patch on a Chinese forum that will enable Madou Souhei Kleinhasa to run on a non-native Japanese OS (for whatever reason, it was never leaked back to the English forum such as Hongfire, no idea why it hasn’t happened yet).
魔動装兵クラインハーゼ Kleinhasa Regional Protection and Windows 7 Virtual PC
by Wolfheinrich on Jan.12, 2010, under Eroge PC Game, Otaku Home screen
So today, I would like to set a little time aside to talk about regional protection of eroge game in general. Before Windows XP came along, the only way to “properly” run Japanese eroge games was to purchase a separate copy of Windows 95 or Windows 98 and install them into a separate partition in the main hard disk using an off the shelf MBR overlay software such as System Commander… that was how I used to run Windows based eroge game back in the early 90s. Windows XP changed all that, with the ability to install East Asian language pack and applocale basically took care of all the language compatibility issue for the past decade or so… However, the situation is starting to change again … quite possibly after a public outrage of having an eroge game called “Rapelay” released by Illusion being offered for sale in Amazon UK in early 2009, a string of Eroge game publishing companies have begun tightening the sale of their software outside of Japan, some companies have decided to ban all ip addresses except for those in Japan, some companies have implemented tough regional protection scheme, company such as Triangle.
I have have always been a fan of Triangle Soft’s game, their long line of Mahou Senshin games
Alicesoft 20th Anniversary Project: Alice 2010
by Wolfheinrich on Nov.21, 2009, under Eroge PC Game, Otaku Home screen
It felt like it’s been forever since the last time I talk about eroge game now, perhaps it has to do with the fact that the last Illusion game Yuusha Kara Wa Nigerarenai was too much of a failure for me to even spend any time on it. Anyway, what I am going to talk about this time is the Alicesoft 20th Anniversay Project: Alice 2010. The same company that brought us awesome games such as Mamatoto, Beat Angel Escalayer, Sengoku Rance, Daiakuji, Big Bang Age, Beat Blade Haruka and Toushin Toshi 3.
I have been a fan of Alicesoft games for many many years now, most of their games are very fun to play, challenging and require some level of fluency in Japanese before you can play effectively, not to mention most of their heroines are drop dead gorgeous! Every now and then, Alicesoft would do a fandisk release call the Alice Mansion, which contain a collection of omake stuff, songs, short stories etc. The year 2010 is Alicesoft’s 20th anniversary and they have prepared to go with a bang! Let’s take a brief look at what they have to offer!
Here we have Alicesoft’s mascot, Alice in her modern look; she has received many face lifts over the past 20 years or so, and needless to say, she is still one of the most kawaii eroge game company mascot around!
ToHeart 2 PC version Kusugawa Sasara Part 3
by Wolfheinrich on Oct.01, 2009, under Eroge PC Game, Otaku Home screen
Notes: After a prolonged break, Miss Dollfie Summer, Japan Trip or what have you, I finally got myself together and decided to finish this story once and for all! I bet at least some of you must be tired from all the Dollfie Dream posts I have been making… in the last 10 or so posts orz… ok time to break it up with something else!
I concluded the 2nd part of the story with Takaaki finally came out of his old habit and formally confessed his love for Sasara in front of everyone in school. While I completely understand the scenario Leaf was playing out, but making the girl doing all the heavy lifting is just not sitting right with me. Anyway, I didn’t plan on splitting the story 3 ways before, but the 2nd part was getting too big and I didn’t feel I could rush all the details before I get frustrated with myself. We will be treated with another major turning point in part 3, served as a final twist to Sasara’s story line.
With the love confession out of the way, Takaaki and Sasara have finally gotten into the “first name” basis (why did it take them so long anyway?!!). At the student council, Sasara appeared to have something to tell Takaaki but words couldn’t quite come out as if she was too embarrassed to say it, just as Takaaki was about to reach out to her, they were caught in the middle of the act by Tama-nee, Yuji and Konomi together!
ToHeart 2 PC version Kusugawa Sasara Part 2
by Wolfheinrich on Aug.01, 2009, under Dollfie Dream, Eroge PC Game, Otaku Home screen
I concluded the first part of the story arc with Sasara and Maryan sempai finally being able to make up, well it was more like Sasara finally being able to come to terms with reality. This is a real turning point of the story, with Takaaki’s successful attempt at recreating the graduating ceremony for Sasara and Maryan to set things right. Sasara had begun to grow fond of Takaaki, of course, without him realizing it all together! Even though Maryan sempai was supposed to move to another school, she kept showing up every now and then and kept trying to hook up Sasara with Takaaki through out the 2nd half of the story! I should also mention that most of the ecchi references came from Maryan sempai as well.
During the first day of the spring vacation, Maryan tried to setup a date between Sasara and Takaaki using a really obscure method, and ended up failing miserably because Takaaki didn’t have the required equipment to listen to her James Bond style cassette tape message XD. She ended up having to call Takaaki’s house an hour later and threaten him that she had given the same message to Sasara and she had already been waiting for over an hour and that he had better get himself to the meeting point right the way otherwise she would wait on the spot indefinitely! Takaaki knew it was a setup but Maryan left him with little choice because it was obvious that she intended for Takaaki to meet Sasara.
ToHeart 2 PC version Kusugawa Sasara Part 1
by Wolfheinrich on Jul.26, 2009, under Dollfie Dream, Eroge PC Game
Ever since the announcement of Dollfie Dream Sasara by Volks a few days ago, I have assigned utmost priority to learn about Sasara’s story. It’s funny that I have been putting it off for more than a year, and I know I have been wanting to do it but the announcement of DD Sasara gave me the final nudge in the back I needed to start another visual novel marathon. I suppose this is my first Leaf game as well.
Kusugawa Sasara 久寿川 ささら is a new character introduced in the PC port version of the game, she is one year older than the protagonist Takaaki Kono. Her arc is almost in sync with Tamaki’s arc but branch off about mid-way through the game. Kusugawa Sasara appeared in game as an unapproachable beauty, the student council president, with a very cold demeanor towards others. But the real reason she acted this way was because of her family background. Her parents had been separated for some time, and while both tried to care for her and love her, they didn’t understand her at all. Sasara wanted to be loved but yet all she got was pretended love, and in response, she pretended to accept her parents’ pretended love (oh my, that’s complicated). This complex family problem had caused Sasara to shut herself out towards other, and not wanting to make any friends.
Sasara made her first appearance in game when Takaaki was stuck helping out with the graduating ceremony preparation for the student council. He ran into Sasara on the roof of the school building when she was tearing off a piece of photograph. Takaaki’s appearance on the roof surprised Sasara and caused one of the two pieces of the photograph to get blown away by the wind. Sasara cried her eyes out while holding on the other piece of photograph tight.

Dollfie Sasara and Dollfie Louise
by Wolfheinrich on Jul.22, 2009, under Dollfie Dream, Eroge PC Game
I have been keeping my eyes open for Dolls Party 4 in Nagoya for sometime now ever since I saw Volks announcement about a week or so ago, waiting to see which new Dollfie would be introduced. Sure enough, this morning Dannychoo.com member lucifer32 brought us the news that ToHeart 2 heroine Dollfie Dream Kusugawa Sasara and Mini Dollfie Dream Louise would be introduced in Nagoya.
DD Sasara will come with a Dollfie Dream Dynamite Body just like my Escalayer, this would be a great chance to pick up a 2nd DDDy body. My only problem with getting on board with Sasara outright is the fact that I still don’t know too much about her. Sasara did not feature in the ToHeat 2 Anime and the only way to get to know her story is to play through the ToHeat 2 Xrated version for PC, something I have been putting off for some time now. Perhaps this is a good chance for me to put the lost of Griffon version 1/7 Sasara school swimsuit maid version behind me. But for starter, I must find out if her story is good enough for me to adopt her. DD Sasara is listed for 55460 yen after tax.
The 2nd DD to be introduced in Nagoya is Louise from the light novel comedy ゼロの使い魔 Zero no Tsukaima
I personally think she is pretty cute, but since I know nothing about Louise and have not been very fond of her various PVC figure so far, I think I am going to take a pass at her. Louise will be coming in a MDD body and retail for 47250 yen after tax.
For more inf0rmation, please visit Volks website for details.
For now I must travel to ToHeart 2 world to find out everything about Kusugawa Sasara.
