I have been waiting for the White Album PS3 game for quite some time now, the premium edition I ordered a few months ago has finally arrived. I was hoping for DD Rina 緒方理奈 to arrive about the same time but since Volks International has announced that they have once again pushed back the delivery date for White Album DD to July 7th for international customer, I guess this will have to do. Along side with White Album PS3, there are some other exciting loots that arrived today, let’s take a look at them!
Here I have my loot inspection assistant Feena along with her sisters Kiriha, Rin and Estel to help me with loot inspection~ ( I have a feeling they are just having fun at the back instead of helping Feena out ^^;)
- White Album PS3 Limited Edition
- Dell Inspiron 11z with Intel SU4100 processor
- Nikon 50mm f/1.4G AF-S Nikkor Prime Lens
- Flashpoint rechargeable battery designed for Nikon EN-EL9 (Very cheap)
- Eye-Fi Pro X2 8GB SDHC Class 6
Regular visitors here probably already know that I am a huge Ogata Rina 緒方理奈 fan and that whole reason why I am interested in the White Album PS3 game to begin with is to play the Rina arc properly with full HD resolution since I wasn’t quite satisfy with graphic quality of the original game was released over 10 years ago.

The graphic quality improvement over the past 10 years or so is definitely very visible here!
Let’s take a look what’s inside the premium box~
Since I pre-order the game ahead of time, I also received the pre-order bonus here.
This PS3 Game introduced a new heroine named Sayoko Kisaragi along the original Ogata Rina and Morikawa Yuki.
Nice mini posters!
Inside the box is the game, White Album original sound track and the White Album Illustration Book. And based on looking over the content inside the illustration book, I can tell the basic storyline of this game is going to be very close to the original game instead of the storyline of the White Album anime.
Next up is my new Dell Inspiron 11z, which is only meant to satisfy my computing need on the road since I gave my old notebook to my brother some time ago.
This Dell 11z is powered by the CULV line of duo core processor @1.3GHz, 2MB L2 Cache, 800Mhz FSB.
The next item on the list is my new prime glass Nikon 50mm f/1.4G AF-S Nikkor Lens. I have been shooting pictures with the zoom glass for some time now on the 18-105mm and I have started to noticed the limitation on picture clarity with it. So I guess it’s about time to step up to the next level and get my first prime lens. Here are some comparison shots~
This first picture is taken with my Nikon 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6 AF-S DX VR ED Nikkor Lens
The next picture is take with my new prime glass
So far I am quite happy with the improved sharpness and color reproduction of the new glass :3
The last item, the Eye-Fi Pro X 2 8GB SDHC Class 6 is something I have been dreaming about for some time, some of you might have heard about it before. But for those of you who hasn’t, this little SD card can turn your ordinary camera into a Wi-Fi enable camera! It can transfer photo directly from your camera to your computer via a Wi-Fi hotspot, and in some selection model, it can even transfer directly to your laptop without a wireless router! I have long dream of having the ability to wirelessly transfer photo data from my camera (I even thought about making something similar to this myself at one point), especially useful for Dollfie Dream Photography. Why does it matter? Because I believe every camera position, especially for Dollfie Dream Photography, that every pose and corresponding head position is unique for any given frame, and therefore, not easily reproducible. Have you ever taken some photo of your DD and only realize you didn’t quite get the head positioned the way you wanted? This will solve that problem! Since you can monitor your progress on full screen as you go! I can see this becoming especially useful for my next outdoor photography session!
There are several versions of Eye-Fi SD cards, all of them have the option of uploading your photo to your selected photo sharing service as well, how convenient!
Another cool feature that come with this card is called the Endless Memory, the moment your photo is confirmed to be uploaded to your computer or photo sharing service, the file is automatically erased from your SD card; so you will never have to worry about running out of space on your SD card again! From all the review I have read so far indicate that this is the real deal, it works just the way they advertise it. For those of you who actually care about the way your photo turn out, this is something you should not overlook! Almost every major camera brand support this feature!
Oh before I forget, Volks USA has uploaded some of my recent pictures to their Sumika Times Blog, be sure to go check them out ^^;
For your convenience, I have included some product links here~
And that’s about it for now, I got to start packing up for Anime Expo 2010! For those of you heading out to AX 2010, see you out there!

Nice stuff! I love having a ultraportable that has a bit more oomph than a traditional netbook. I’m using a Lenovo U150 with SU7300 as my secondary machine. Looks like you’re having fun with your prime as well, I’m considering if I should get a 35mm prime for a wider angle.
Have fun at AX! Wish I was going!

Yup, I thought about it sometime and was on the verge of getting the Dell 10v but felt that the atom processor might be too weak plus I didn’t want the Win 7 starter edition, if I had to paid for upgrade the OS, I would ended up paying close to the 11z so I thought, I would settle with this. I should be getting a 35mm prime too, since I am on DX format and 35 mm would do some good.
Cool loot! Especially that SD card. Too bad my old cam can’t take SD cards…
One thought though: Can’t you do tethered shooting with your camera? True, you’d need a USB connection but aren’t there wireless USB? Never checked but I’d assume that wirless USB exists.
Ah, on second thought, scratch that
I’m too much of a sleepy-head right now. A wireless USB solution would prolly be (alot) more expensive than the wifi SD card.
I already use USB connection hook up at home but that won’t be too convenient outdoor. Last time I check, there is no such thing as wireless USB. No matter how you slice it, you need a device to transmit and receive the signal.
What camera are you using? Compact Flash? I have heard some people said there are also compatible with compact flash adapter, although not officially endorsed by Eye-Fi.
Mine’s a stone-age Sony DSC-F707 ^.^; 128MB memorycard limit. Ouch!
Bought it dirt-cheap off ebay b/c I wanted a camera that’d let me experiment with manual exposure settings but wasn’t ready to pay for a more modern dSLR.
Finally got yourself a nifty-50 eh. Looking forward to what you got in store for us with new tool of yours.
Nice loot! You’ll no doubt enjoy that 50mm prime, the first photo results already look more crisp than the zoom lens.
I would love to be able to check out my photos on a big computer screen after taking them since the Lcd screen on my Canon tends to show everything brighter than it actually is. Though also do wonder how well one would be able to check the resulting photo on a laptop screen when outdoors in the sun…
Still, will be keeping an eye on such an interesting WiFi SDHC card. (Though I’d also need to get a laptop since I only use desktop machines at home, lol.)

Very nice!
During this holidays I’ve been taking pics with a Nikon 50mm 1.4G lens too, my brother has it, and I liked a lot the results too (my last two posts are done with that lens)
I’m considering whather to get one for me or not now^^
have fun at Anime Expo!
I really really falling behind in checking my blogroll orz, it’s the worldcup month after all!
Hahaha, daijoubu^^ make sure you check on Nia-chan when you have time^^ Sakura is on her way already, so soon there will be a new face on the blog too
Oh, lots of cool items ^^. Once you get used to primes, you learn to love them. I use my 50mm 1.2 more often than all my other lenses

It’s still taking me a bit getting used to it. I will be bring the prime to AX instead of the zoom since I don’t think I will be shooting any landscape photos.
