Estel Freesia’s end, Yoake Mae yori Ruriiro na, 夜明け前より瑠璃色な
Alright, so I finally made it to the new cast on the PS2 port version Estel Freesia. What can I say about her? Estel is quite a tsundere, more than Natsuki (especially after I started her Moonlight Cradle arc) and definitely a tough nut to crack! I am going to try a slightly different approach and compact her story a bit more, Feena's story was way too long and I probably had way too much details in the last writeup.

I have always heard about how Anime Expo is one of the largest anime convention in North America but I have never once thought about going there myself in previous years. However, the convergence of various factors this year including the chance of meeting some of the friends I have made online at figure.fm, a trip to Volks USA and meeting Danny in person were enough to persuade me to make this journey. So, for this past weekend, I have picked my most pampered Dollfie Dream, Kiriha Kuze 紅瀬桐葉 to accompany me to Anime Expo 2010 in Los Angeles!

The Thirteenth Dollfie Dream Daughter’s Arrival ~Kuze Kiriha~
It has been a long wait since I have won the bloodiest auction battle I have ever participated in order to win the right to bring one of the rarest Dollfie Dream Kuze Kiriha 紅瀬桐葉 home, released at Kyoto 5 of 2008, but her appearances in Yahoo Japan Auction is considerably more rare than Dollfie Dream before her such as Feena Fam Earthlight and Estel Freesia, Dollfie Dream that released along with her, such as Erika Sendo; and Dollfie Dream that released after her, such as Saber, Asuka Langley Soryu and Rei Ayanami.

I am just going to say it to get it off my chest, Natsuki Takamizawa (鷹見沢 菜月) deserves more attention than she is getting! Ok, while I don't think Natsuki is in the same league as Feena in terms of elegance and beauty, and she may just be a plain Jane next door neighborhood girl; but she is quite cute in her own rights, I don't understand why there hasn't been a single figure made of her yet.

Dollfie Dream Kiriha X Sasara with School Swimsuit Maid & He is My Master Maid set
It's been another intense camera action day as I have a lot on my agenda. The first order of business is to have two of my lovely daughters to try out the two of the most adorable maid dress set from Kyoto 7, Sasara School Swimsuit Maid and He is My Master Maid Dress set. There is no argument for who should wear the School Swimsuit Maid, but there was room for debate for the He is My Master Dress set, I finally decided to have Kiriha model for us, why Kiriha? Because she is my most pampered daughter! There will be some hints of yuri action here and there in this photo session, as I finally come to term to fulfill the promise I made way back to take some yuri photos for my daughters XD. It's been almost two weeks since I started this Yoake Mae yori Ruriiro na Visual Novel marathon run project which includes the original Yoake Mae yori Ruriiro na Visual Novel (2005) August soft, Yoake Mae yori Ruriiro na -Brighter than dawning blue- (2009) Aria soft and Yoake Mae yori Ruriiro na -Moonlight Cradle- (2009) August soft, it's a massive undertaking that I have never attempted before. But after over a week worth of effort, I am finally getting close to the midway point. This project really started when I redecorated my room with three Feena fam Earthlight Dakimakuras and one bath towel, then all of a sudden I wondered about how much do I really know about her.

How long has it been since I acquired the cloak for Saber? Hmm ever since Airi arrived? Yeah, I been wanting to do a Saber solo shoot out for that long, but laziness and procrastination delayed it for this long! Errr, not really, I was busy with other stuff and had the lighting setup packed away and didn't pull them back out until just recently. Anyway, I been wanting to do this shoot out with Saber standing in front of the Buckingham Palace and I have finally done it! I think I managed to pack a few pretty good shots in there, hopefully you would enjoy them as much as I did :D

ToHeart 2 PC version Kusugawa Sasara Part 1
Ever since the announcement of Dollfie Dream Sasara 久寿川 ささら by Volks a few days ago, I have assigned utmost priority to learn about Sasara's story. It's funny that I have been putting it off for more than a year, and I know I have been wanting to do it but the announcement of DD Sasara gave me the final nudge in the back I needed to start another visual novel marathon. I suppose this is my first Leaf game as well.

Been quiet for the past couple of days, but I finally started to feel better for the past day so I decided to catch this chance to go out with my Dollfie Daughters again. The main objective this time was to correct a few oversights I had in the last outing so I had to take DD Asuka アスカ and DD Rin 遠坂 凛 out again, but that would be a tad too dry just to keep taking photos of those two so I decided to take DD Saber out with me as well.

Adopt a Dollfie Dream Sasara Contest Details
A few weeks ago I announced that I will be holding an Adopt a Sasara Contest and I have spent the last couple of weeks trying decide on a contest format that is fair and have the ability to incorporate my own opinion as well as public opinion and finally, to test the contestants' knowledge about Sasara! I have actually decided on the contest format some time ago but since we are drawing close to December, I think it's best to get the contest started, the intent is of course to have Sasara arrive at her new home before Christmas.

Then again it is from E2046, and quite frankly for this figure I really want good quality.
Too bad about the scribe lines, never knew they were there since they were, as you said, not really visible. Probably they were meant to fit in her attire in the chest area. This is still the best KOS-MOS figure ever though.
Well the panel lines didn’t bother me too much, just pointing them out just in case. I still love the figure very much though.
She is really amazing ! I am waiting for more pictures !

I’ll stick to my original version by Alter of Kos-Mos in her first incarnation. ^^
My passion has always been about large scale figure, 1/4 is my favorite. 1/3 Dollfie Dream just helped kick it up a few notches.
Hobbyfan have also done this one as a prepainted and removed the scribe lines. There was a huge complaint thread on E trying to get them to follow the design of the original sculptor and paint in the panels as grey metal as he’d done in his or resculpt and remove the lines as Hobbyfan did. E fixed several of the issues that were brought up but refused to fix that one.
I am aware Hobbyfan has the same offering, but I am compelled to order from E2046 because I have the VIP discount of 7%.

I ended up going with HobbyFan’s version on this one just because I didn’t like the artifical/pale look on E2046/Gathering’s KosMos (that I was worried about the plate indentations on her chest).
That said, it looks lovely.
Well I took a peek at the Hobbyfan version, theirs seems to look fairly similar in the skin tone department as well

If they were going to do that, might as well not put the cast-off option in, just seemed silly to be to look at panel lines on top of a pair of fine oppai.
That’s too bad about the boob lines, I saw that Hobbyfan’s recast didn’t have them but I’d already put in my order at E2046. I’d display her with her boobs proudly hanging out otherwise but I guess she’ll have to cover up. She still looks pretty dang good, but I really wish Volks had rolled with her episode 1 look, which is one of my favorite character designs of all time.
I ordered her a bit late so I guess mine’ll come from a later batch, which is fine with me, being that I have to pay for more car repairs (had to get the alternator replaced the other day). I’m gonna have to figure out where I’m going to put her, I’ve also got 1/4 scale Saber in the mail (stuck in the limbo that is USPS’s tracking system) and I’ve got to find space for her too.
Hmm, what’s that that they used for package padding, is that graph paper? I’ve never seen them use that before.

I been buying E2046 for the past several years even though I know Hobbyfan pretty much offered the same thing. Never did check the hobbyfan version until just now. It’s a horrible waste of a cast-off, but it’s not like I would leave them cast off anyway. I prefer my Kos-Mos fully clothed.

You bet! I’m not a big fan of the negligee look. Her episode 1 look has to be one of my top five character designs. It’s also the only reason I could stomach playing the game as long as I did (which was about ten hours).

I am actually quite surprised to hear this, you are not fan of the negligee look? Version 1 was my favorite before Version 4 came along, Version 3 was good for me too, Version 2 just failed miserably for me.

After getting used to 1/3 Dollfie Dream, the 1/8 just seems too small for my taste now.
The boob lines are unsightly, that’s for sure. It seems the sculptor refuse to change it.

Those stockings look really delicious, just like the whole figure. Wondering what’s up with those oppai panel lines though. I don’t mind cyborgish looking ladys at all, but who on earth would put some panels there? And just noticed one again that I don’t like huge oppai, lol. They look so unaesthetic.

This Kos-Mos is way too delicious for me to pass on her, I have been a Kos-Mos fanboy ever since the beginning of Xenosaga, and finally we have a figure that can carry the namesake forward, Alter did ok, but not excellent in their rendition of Kos-Mos.
Yeah, the panel lines are disappointing, but it doesn’t bother me that much because I prefer Kos-Mos fully clothed anyway.
Pure awesomeness. Instantly my holy grail – Same as you, I am a KOS-MOS fanboy from the beginning. Definitely the best KOS-MOS available. Unfortunately the price proved to be too much for an undergraduate.
Do you think that she would still be available next year? (2011 of course)

I know I posted at Figure FM already about my misfortune with this same figure from E2046. Anyways to make a long story short, I recieved mine damaged. The right hand had broken off during shipment scratching the shoulder armor. The left lower hip gold armor piece also broke off taking a tiny piece of the skin (paint) off of it. I contacted E2046 and they said they would repair it but it could take up to 2 months!… sigh. That’s too long. Anyways, I am compelled to try to fix this figure myself. I could probably pin the hand back into the arm. I could live with the cosmetic scratches on shoulder armor. But do you know if there is anyway to repair the small piece of skin (paint) that chipped off? Some kind of smoothing putty maybe and painting it? Here are the photos.

Yup Kos-Mos is ultra tall, I had to rearrange everything in that shelf to fit her in.
