How should I put this, while it wasn’t totally unexpected, I have just completed the preliminary adoption paperwork for Dollfie Dream Airi. While I have make it no secret in the past that I have always adored Queen’s Blade girl Airi and have been waiting for a chance to adopt her, I just didn’t expect the chance to present itself as quickly as it did. I have briefly commented on my desire to adopt Airi if the opportunity present itself in this comment a few days ago if the fee was to dip below 70k yen mark. It was almost like someone heard what I was saying and sure enough, within hours, an auction with a starting price of 63k yen popped up, not only that, two separate auctions for Airi’s maid outfit and her weapon were also available (I haven’t seen those within the past month or so), though with considerably more intense competitions than I would like. As a man of my word, as I have always been, I have my sight set on Airi and decided to go for that auction despite the possible bidding war.
There were three other bidders besides me, my maximum bid just edged the next highest bidder by about 900 yen 
Though they did try to raise their bid twice but I was lucky enough to have set my max bid high enough to make them gave up on their pursue. The final price is about 14% over the Volks MSRP, a little higher than I had hoped, but it’s still ok.
Obviously, besides the fact that Airi come standard with a French Maid outfit (meaning I don’t have to worry about getting a maid outfit for her), she also came with a Scythe! I am one step closer in assembling my harem of french maids! Airi will undoubtedly join the lineup in the Dollfie Dream Theater as soon as she arrive, however, she will not be joining up directly with the rest of the Dollfie Riders, nor would she join up with Dai MS; Airi will be representing a new fraction (yet to be named!). The standard fare of Good versus Evil is just too plain, Airi will be expected to provide the much needed spice to take the Dollfie Dream Theater to the next level (start humming the Kabuto opening song)!
Ok, enough about Airi for now, I hope she will arrive by the beginning of next month if everything proceed according to plan.
On the other hand, Volks USA has just announced the details for Dollfie Dream Gathering a few days ago.
The USA lottery will be accepted from October 24th at 11:00am PST until October 28th at 11:00am PST with delivery expected around Jan. 2010
Volks International also have details that are not yet available in Volks USA site, it appears there are several fairly priced outfit available in October as well.
Notice that maid outfit? It wasn’t there when I checked a few days ago, though I would have preferred a shorter skirt but I guess this will do 
I will be gunning for Natsuki in the USA lottery as I have been planning and may possibly try to find Moe’s outfit in the aftermarket.

im a little confused, Moe and Natsuki will be available during the lottery only? i will prolly just try to hunt down their outfits too.
I checked YJA right after I commented on the 7th but within hours the auction was up! I hesitated a lot to pay over 75k for her, but when the auction was available for 63k yen that’s whole another story. I am glad I won the auction with minimum pain I would not like it turning into a full scale bidding war as the next available auction was priced at 77k.
Volks really got my number for now, Natsuki really hit the spot and there is another Dolpa at the end of the year so we shall see. I am really hoping there wouldn’t anything I want in the last dolpa of the year, give some slack for my wallet!
Ah yes, Moe and Natsuki are only available for lottery and after event lottery perhaps? Their wig will also be available for purchase separately.
Oh me gawd!!! You’re getting Airi!! If there was one queen’s blade character that I liked, it’d be her too.. T-T noo.. must restrain self, need to get Moe chan first..
In contrary to popular believe, I watch QB for the story and learn about Airi, I believe I have mentioned it somewhere in here. Airi is my favorite QB girl despite there is very little screen time for her so far, she has a cute expression and she is a french maid and she is obedient to the Swamp Witch, very appealing quality for me. She might be considered as a villain but I don’t sense one bit of evil from her at all!
A 9th daughter!? Wowzers, I’ll be lucky to get even one! Congrats on the adoption, and can’t wait to see her! ^_^
Yeah Airi would become my 9th daughter, I have been looking at her for some time now and a fairly priced auction popped up a few days ago, won the auction this morning. She would probably show up in 3 weeks or so I hope?
I must ask, how the hell is your wallet holding up? I thought these dolfies were fucking expansive!
They are pretty darn expensive, so I have given up almost every other categories of Otaku hobby to support this, I have drastically scaled down the number of PVC purchases, not eating out anymore so I can justify this type of spending.

Yes, I hope she arrives safely as I have been fond of Airi for quite some time now, she was the reason why I even got into Queen’s Blade to begin with. I had more competitions that I would have liked but the auction ended with only 2 extensions and it went quiet after the 2nd extension so it was all good at the end. Airi is suppose to represent an independent force that takes no interest in the battle fight, she only act according to her master’s will. The true identity of her master, however, will be shrouded in mystery!
Ninth Dollfie? Impressive! I haven’t acquired a single Dollfie but I am constantly tempted to do so. Whether/when I succumb remains to be seen…

I am different from most Dollfie collectors in a sense that, I get into Dollfie because they represent the ultimate form of the characters I adore most, in another word, I am collecting Dollfie Dream with a mind set of a PVC figure collector. Most Dollfie collectors prefer customizing their Dollfie but I on the other hand, wish to retain their image as often as possible. There are definite advantages for me to switch to Dollfie as I have always been a very focus and old school type Otaku that like to focus on girls that I really like instead of “things that looks cute”; Dollfie Dream offer the ultimate representation of the girls I really like so I can stop collecting marginally good looking figures.

QB S2 is doing alright, I been enjoying it, I would really love to see more screen time for Airi though.
And the scythe will be good props for battle scene! My Griffon Enterprise Airi has arrived but I sort of wanted to wait until the lighting kit replacement bulb before doing any new photoshoot. I tweaked some camera setting and began using Nikon Camera Control Pro to issue command directly to the camera using the USB port and pictures are sent directly to my computer screen for full screen review so I am really happy with my new setup now.

I still stand by my word where u will hit the 2 digit mark before the end of the year.

There is no doubt in my mind I will hit 2 digits this year, DD Natsuki is lined up to be my 10th daughter unless special circumstances is to arise. My harem of daughters is growing fast but they are all so very lovely that I can’t help it!
