With the growing number of Ikea Dioder being deployed in my room, so as the wire management nightmare that comes with it.  I am not sure how other people manage the wiring of their Ikea Dioder, were they hidden behind some cabinet and never to be seen?  Well for me, I need to turn off the dioder at night so I get can to sleep easily so the outlet strip is in a fairly visible location so I can turn it off with a single switch; but the wire mess that has grown over time has finally broke the last straw on me.  I have decided to clean it up with some cable management product.

The following picture is the wire mess before the clean up.

What a mess, the wires were kind of hidden by the entertainment center, but it didn’t take away the fact that it was a mess.

With the help of some cable management product, I was finally able to organize this mess into a more manageable form…

This cable manager is normally used in a rack mounted application; but in this case, I am using it to manage my Ikea Dioder cable harness.  It’s got a dual hinged cover so I can open it up and access the cable inside if I needed to.

Just like that it’s nice and neat now!  All of the wires are hidden away from plain sight and yet very accessible at the same time!  The same technique can also be use to manage the cables going in and out of your computers, have more than one computers running in your room?  The chances is you have got a wire management issue, how do you manage your connectivity cables?
